A must have wooden jigsaw puzzle for any young railway enthusiast! Your little one will be captivated as they piece together this classic wooden jigsaw puzzle and watch the scene unfold. Mallard was built in Doncaster in 1938 and designed by Sir Nigel Gresley as an express locomotive to power high-speed streamlined trains. It still holds the world speed record for steam traction at 126mph. Mallard was retired in 1963 having covered almost one and a half million miles (2.4 million km). It was restored to working order in the 1980s. This beautifully designed puzzle is a great way to develop the imagination, as well as improving thinking skills as your little one decides where each piece will fit. Once the final piece has been placed your little one will feel a sense of achievement, wanting to recreate the scene over and over again! Other themed jigsaws are available within the Bigjigs Toys Puzzle range. Made from high quality, responsibly sourced materials. Conforms to current European safety standards. 35 puzzle pieces.
Bought as gift for my grandson. He loved it.
2 wooden train jigsaws
Very prompt delivery. Delighted with the quality of the product, and to have something made of wood instead of the usual plastic. Our grandson will be over the moon as he absolutely loves trains. Thank you.
Perfect puzzle for my (almost) 4yo
I bought this as a birthday present for my child, who loves steam engines and will be four next month. We already have the Flying Scotsman frame puzzle, which is very well loved, and I think this one will be just as popular!
Striking image, vivid colours
We’ve previously had the train puzzles without the tray, Flying Scotsman, also wooden cut but in 48 pieces. Love the tray idea, a good development. Pieces currently quite sticky but imagine they’ll free up with use. Happy 3 year old.
