History of Diggerland

Diggerland was founded by Hugh Edeleanu, Chairman of H. E. Services, the world leader in digger hire. Hugh saw how much kids enjoyed exploring diggers during a family open day in 1996 so decided to bring the idea to life. 

Diggerland Kent, the first Diggerland theme park, opened its gates in April 2000 and saw 20,000 visitors in its first year! Now there are Diggerland theme parks in West Yorkshire, Devon, Durham and even in New Jersey, USA.

Each Diggerland theme park has 20 different attractions with over 100 machines to choose from, with new rides and attractions added every year.
