While the Rail Name Letters use magnetic couplings that connect to most wooden railway engines, Bigjigs Rail specifically recommends their Rail Name Engine for the best experience. Can Rail Name Letters go through wooden train tunnels?
No, Rail Name Letters and Numbers are not designed to be compatible with rail tunnels. The letter carriages are taller than standard train carriages due to the upright letters, so they won't fit through most wooden railway tunnel pieces.
What's included when I buy a single Rail Name Letter?
Each Rail Name Letter consists of 2 play pieces - the wooden carriage base and the removable coloured letter that sits on top. The letter can be taken out and swapped with other letters, while the carriage connects to other trains via magnetic couplings.
