How To Write Your Letter To Santa

How To Write Your Letter To Santa

Santa Claus loves nothing more than receiving letters and drawings from children (even the naughty ones) from across the world. Here at Bigjigs Toys, we've got a simple step-by-step guide on how to plant a smile on Father Christmas' face with a special letter.

Step 1.

Get the grown-ups to hand you some paper and pens. You can use regular pens, colouring pens or even scented marker pens so that Santa can have something lovely to sniff when he opens your letter. You may want to use some snazzy letter writing paper.

Step 2.

Get into the festive mood by putting on your favourite Christmas music - it can be absolutely anything. At Bigjigs HQ, we are partial to a bit of Michael Bublé courtesy of our Operations Director, Sam.

Step 3.

Begin your letter by writing down 'Dear Santa' or 'Dear Father Christmas'. That way, he knows the letter is for him.

Step 4.

Wondering how cold the North Pole is? Maybe you're curious as to whether Rudolph really does have a shiny red nose? If you've got a special question to ask Santa, write it down so he can answer it.

Step 5.

Tell Santa what you have been up to across the year. Have you been kind to others? Did you do anything amazing at school? How are your Mum, Dad and siblings? Have you helped with the chores?

Step 6.

A little elf tells us you've been good this year! Tell Santa what toys are on the top of your list. Remember that Santa has limited room in his sleigh, so write down three to four of your most wanted presents.

Step 7.

Spread some kindness and thank the Christmas elves for working so hard all year to make sure the toys are delivered to children around the world.

Step 8.

Don't forget to sign your name at the bottom of the letter as Santa receives soooo many letters that he needs to know it's from you! You could also add some stickers to add some funky final touches.

Step 9.

Put your letter in an envelope and send it to Santa! In true Christmas tradition, you can either throw your letter into a fireplace (with adult supervision) and watch as the ashes float up the chimney and fly to the North Pole. Or, you can post your Santa letter via Royal Mail's Letters to Santa programme.
