Lovely wooden toys

Excellent easy to order and quick delivery. I'm sure the 3yr old recipient will love them. His big cousins loved choosing them online for him and being nostalgic for when they played with a wooden train track! Lovely quality toys which last.

It's fun!

Given free reign over the catalogue, my son opted for this and the almost matching barge dock. That he wants to ship the coal from the dock to the mine bothers me, but it's not my railway. He has lots of fun and that is the point of the exercise. So why not give this the full five stars? Well, there are two reasons. First it doesn't quite match the barge dock. The coal load is the same shape but in a different pain scheme, though of the two I prefer this one. More significantly the flat-bed trucks which came with the dock are far higher quality. Why? The second is that while it is really nice to have the siding with buffer, the offset from the through line is not an intuitive piece of track geometry. So far I have used sharp radius curves, which not all the rolling stick likes, and flexible track to link up. There must be a way to get there with standard curves... But I'm only the railway's civil engineer. I'm not the chief operating officer and he is very happy.

Great addition to a train set

My son saw this and wanted it straight away. He had to save up his pocket money, but when it arrived it was worth the wait. It has lots of interesting detail and has definitely made a great addition to his train set. We have bought other BigJigs train set accessories in the past and have always found them to be of really good quality. Would definitely recommend!
